FAQ

Installation Requirements for Carbon Dioxide Laser Tubes

First, connect the electrode wires, making sure not to reverse the positive and negative poles. Next, connect the inlet and outlet of the cold water pipe. During installation, pay attention to the principle of water inlet and outlet from low to high, with the lower one always being the inlet, regardless of the positive and negative poles. Check that there are no leaks at the joints. Before use, make sure that the water tank is full. After the water is turned on, observe whether there are any air bubbles in the water pipe. If there are air bubbles, turn it off, wait for the air bubbles to disappear, and then turn it on again. Otherwise, it will damage the laser tube. To maintain the good performance of the laser tube, please use a temperature-controlled chiller with a water temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius, and the water flow rate should not be less than 2-4 L/min. If the cooling water is unstable, it will cause the laser tube to jump mode, the spot shape to be irregular, and the output power to be unstable. The laser tube should be installed at 1/4 of the total length of the laser tube. Leave sufficient space between the high-voltage end of the laser tube and any other metal surface. If the gap is too small, the high voltage used to trigger the laser tube will cause arcing with the metal surface, causing damage to the laser tube or even other major electronic components.

Laser Tube Dimmer Alignment Standard

When replacing a new laser tube, slight changes in position may affect the optical path, so it is recommended to calibrate the optical path alignment. How to check whether the optical path is aligned? First, stick a piece of double-sided tape on the second reflector, it is recommended to use multiple layers of double-sided tape stacked together, then shoot a spot, and observe the spot on the double-sided tape. Then move the second reflector to the other side and shoot again, and see if they overlap. If they overlap, it means the optical path is aligned. Then, calibrate the third reflector in the same way.

Necessary measures when installing laser lenses

In the process of installing and cleaning laser lenses, in order to avoid secondary pollution and reduce the service life of laser lenses. Therefore, the following preventive measures must be adopted:

1. Never install laser lenses with bare fingers, wear finger cots or rubber gloves.

2. Do not use sharp instruments to avoid scratching the surface of the laser lens.

3. When picking up the lens, do not touch the film layer, but hold the edge of the laser lens.

4. Laser lenses should be placed in a dry, clean place for inspection and cleaning. A good workbench surface should have several layers of cleaning wipes or paper towels, and several cleaning lens wipes.

5. Users should avoid talking above the laser lens and keep food, drinks and other potential contaminants away from the work environment.

Several measures to prevent laser tube failure

First, we need to learn to identify whether the laser tube has failed. Observe the color of the laser tube. If the color inside the laser tube is pink, even if the laser power is increased, it can be determined that the laser tube has failed. For normal laser tubes, the service life will expire, so preventing the laser tube from breaking is imminent. Several methods to prevent laser tube breakage are summarized below:

1. The air humidity should not be too high. If water droplets are found on the outer casing of the laser tube, the humidity of the working environment can be reduced by using an air dryer and air conditioner. A humid environment can also cause the laser tube to break.

2. The pressure difference between the internal and external pressure of the laser tube should not be too large. For both the laser tube and the outer tube, there will be a certain pressure value. If the difference is too large, it will easily cause the laser tube to break. Therefore, we can appropriately set the internal pressure of the laser tube to reduce the pressure difference.

3. When adjusting the laser optical path, do not easily unload the laser machine's reflector. If the reflector is removed, after replacing the laser tube, the laser power will not produce the previous corresponding value. Therefore, the reflector cannot be removed before replacing the laser tube.

How to solve the unstable low light intensity of the laser tube

1. First disconnect some power supplies and wipe the high-voltage head clean with a cotton cloth. Gently wipe.

2. Cut off the broken water pipe and reconnect it to the laser tube, then use a cable tie to bundle it.

3. The high-voltage wire can be reconnected. If there are 7 silver wires in the high-voltage wire, then not one can be missing.

4. Use a fan to dry the wet part of the high-voltage head, wait for half an hour, and then turn on the machine.

Solution to water leakage from the high-voltage head water pipe of the laser tube

Correct maintenance method of CO2 laser power supply

1. High-voltage ignition, the high-voltage wire connector is too close to the iron shell.

2. No light, fan does not rotate. Fuse blown.

3. Forced light emission is possible, but light emission cannot be controlled by the motherboard. The front-end low-voltage control part is broken.

4. The current cannot be adjusted, the current control part is broken.

5. Always blows fuses, which means the power tube is short-circuited and broken.

There are several methods for repairing the laser power supply

1. Replacing key components method. Generally, if it does not emit light, you can first replace the amplifier tube 460 or 450, and then consider replacing the high-voltage package.

2. Voltage detection method.

3. Power-on observation method.

CO2 laser power supply does not emit light? How to repair it?

1. First power on and observe the fault point of the laser power supply.

2. First determine whether the cooling fan is rotating: If the fan is rotating, it means that there is a fault in the high-voltage circuit; conversely, if the fan is not rotating, it means that there is a fault in the control circuit.

3. When the fan is rotating, check whether there is voltage after the 220V power supply is rectified, and then check whether the power amplifier tube is burned out, and whether the voltage after power amplification is a normal 400-600V DC pulse. If it is normal, it can be determined that the high-voltage package is faulty and should be replaced.

4. When the fan is not rotating, check whether the voltage after the bridge rectifier and voltage regulator is normal, and then check whether the voltage after the transformer is normal. Usually, the control chip is prone to failure.
